Shot an 86 on Sunday, it was really hot. Played along side an older gent named Carl. Nice guy, we didn't talk a huge amount, but cordial on both sides. I had a great day of driving, he was impressed. I was pissed I couldn't hit a fucking wedge to within 20 ft. My short game is all screwy this year after the arrival of decent length drives, my yardages are all new to me. . .anyway.

Shot an 80 today, I think, lol. I skipped the 9th. My buddy Mark joined me after the 8th, there were 3 high schoolers on the tee, 4 people on the green including a 3 footer--no, not a putt, a human! I love seeing kids on the course, but this foursome was slow. We scooted quickly to the 10th tee.

I switched out irons. I put the Callaway Clones back in the bag. . .I think they're copies of the '06 Big Berthas. . .honestly not sure at all. I hit them well, was hitting more greens today.

I started the day with 4 pars, that was nice.

I played my home course yesterday and today. 81 yesterday and 79 today w/ a 36 on the back. That's my low 9 of the season. I haven't played or practiced much at all but for some reason my swing is in really good shape. If I can putt well, I'll score pretty well.

The course was flooded last weekend and it's in AWESOME shape now. It's so lush that they're letting carts go all the way up to the greens. Normally you have to stay at least 30 yards away. And the greens are the truest they've been since I've been a member there.

Its been so hot. . .I know I'm going to take advantage of the weather when it gets just a little cooler. I was playing 3or 4 rounds a week last year. I'm luck to play 2 full rounds right now.

Its nice to have a good swing and score well even when you're not practicing! That's a bonus. . .your course does look good. My home course has finally reached summertime hell. It was hanging in pretty good with all of the rain we had in the past few weeks--there is some baked crusty dead stuff meandering thru my fairways!!!

Normally the course does have some bare spots...but they've really been taking good care of it this year. Memberships are maxed out so they definitely have the $$.


The practice course is in great shape too. Condition-wise, you can't tell it apart from the big course. All new Srixon range balls as well.

played 9 this a.m. shot 38. Got to the first tee there were two guys in wife beater t-shirts and a couple big momma's there were 2 other groups on #1. I skipped to 3 there was a 3 some of teens on there second shot on #4, 3 open and two old guys in the sand next to the green on #2. The teens asked me to play through and an old 3 some in front did as well.

When I got back to the #1 hole the guys in the wife beaters were still on #3 green. Finished up pretty quick did not check the time but i'm thinking 1hr 20 min. Perfect 80 degree weather.

I rarely go as a single but worked out pretty well today.
