It will affect the swing weight.
It should not change the lie angle
not sure about kick point especially if you have uniflex shafts.

SW, yes, lie angle will be minimal.

My understanding and practical application (I've done this a bunch of times) is that swing weight, static weight and lie are all affected...swing weight more so than static weight (minimally)...lie angles for woods are moot unless you're really tall, short or a pro with access to a fitter who bends woods which isn't common, and the nature of the sole and how it contacts the ground (or on a driver not at all hopefully) makes lie variations of a few degrees not that much of an issue...
With irons, it definitely affects the lie...for a rough idea you can check the lie progressions of your particular iron set in relation to the shaft lengths of various irons for the starting point for lie adjustment, then hit off a lie board to make sure you're in the money...
I honestly don't know about the kick point, but would think that you'd have to take off a fair amount of shaft to see or feel any difference in that area to the point of making the shaft unplayable for other reasons...wouldn't worry about that bit much...

when you figure the angle of the dangle and factor in the length of the SHAFT simple triggernomertry will tell you you don't need to worry about this shit unless you are TIGER WOODS!!periot.:lol1:

Even though your shit is pretty funny Ripper, if you're playing with clubs with a fucked up lie angle you're doing yourself and your game a disservice...PERIOT!!!

if you add 1 3/4 in. to the club lnth. chances are you will move back from the ball by that same amount.there fore your lie angle will remain the same.
lie angle has more to do with swing plane than club lngth.

If you add 1 3/4" to your irons you should be playing basketball...
...PERIOT!!!:hees:
3iron 4 iron 5 iron 6 iron 7 iron 8 iron 9 iron PW
Loft 21 24 27 31 35 39 43 47
Lie 59.5 60 60.5 61 61.5 62 62.5 63
Len 38.75" 38.25"37.75" 37.25"36.75"36.25"35.75"35.5"
You can see, the further you get from the ball, the lower degree of lie angle is required...in this set it follows half degree progressions per every half inch of shaft length progression...
http://www.equip2golf.com/specifications/specs_frameset.html?mizuno/mizuno_mp_14.html~specs
You can see in this set that the long irons are flatter considerably than they are in more modern sets (interesting in itself)...full one degree progressions until the hiccup in the short irons...
Keep that brain turning over though Jack...you'll squeeze something out...:shitcan::shitcan::shitcan::shitcan:

adding to club length will force you to stand more upright thus not changing lie.

My clubs re 1 1/2 extended and have 2 degree upright from standard lie angle. I don't think the length changes the angle at all.

1 3/4 in is the lngth. of them shaft extenders you buy from "golf works"and golfsmith" thats an industry standard so thats what i used to illustrate my point.if you want to extend your shaft 1/2 inch you still use a 1 3/4 in.extension and then cut part of the excess off the tip. your swing plane determines your lie angle.thats why they bend clubs both flater and more upright regardles of the lngth.
btw!i sqeezed sompin out my ass this morn and named it vic. i ain't in your kitchin!:1928::lol1::bg::tae:

You boys make me tired...scroll down to lie angle...
Lie Angle
Correct lie angle is a function of shaft length. The longer the club, the flatter the lie angle should be. The shorter the club, the more upright the lie angle should be.

it wernt about shaft lnth related to lie angke1IT WERE ABOUT "WOULD EXTENDING THE SHAFT LNTH,CHANGE THE LIE ANGLE!
my opionion is the shaft lngth, has no effect on a players setup
he will setup to what is comfortable to him regardless of shaft lnth.
if you are tiger woods then you might need to be concerned about a 1/2 in extensin in your clubs. as a 10 or so hndcp'er i realy don't think i need to sweat bullits over this kinda stuff!!:tip:

What the heck does your OPINION have to do with basic clubfitting facts?
BTW...how DRUNK are you right now!?!?!?:hees::lol1::zzz:
Ask yourself a simple question before you hook up the next IV...does your 5 iron have the same lie angle as your 9iron? Why is the lie angle different? Are the shafts the same length or is the 5 iron somewhat longer?
Correct lie angle is a function of shaft length. The longer the club, the flatter the lie angle should be. The shorter the club, the more upright the lie angle should be.
...it really can't be any more clear than that...:thburp:

The value of clubfitting is an entirely different thread...in my opinion, until you have a fairly repeating address setup and corresponding swing, standard clubs are fine unless you're a shrimp or a giant...once you get a little consistency in your game, correct clubfitting absolutely makes a difference...
BTW, that's opinion...feel free to get incoherent and let one rip...:jerkme:
